Statement of Faith

WE BELIEVE that the books of the Old and New Testament were inspired by God, are inerrant in the original autographs and are the supreme and final authority in faith and life (2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21)

WE BELIEVE that there is one God, eternally existing in three persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (2 Cor. 13:14; Matt. 28:19).

WE BELIEVE that the Holy Spirit is a person, is God, and is co-equal with the Father and Son. We further believe that the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment; and that He regenerates and indwells the victorious living and dedicated service (John 15:26; 16:7-8; Titus 3:5; John 16:13; Acts 1:8)

WE BELIEVE that Satan is a person, the author of sin and the cause of the fall; that he is the open and declared enemy of God and man, and that he shall be eternally punished in the lake of fire (Job 1:6-7; Isa. 14:12-17; Matt. 4:2-11; 25:41, Rev. 20:10)

WE BELIEVE that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred for himself and the whole human race not only physical death, but also spiritual death, which is separation from God (Rom. 5:12-13; Gen. 1:26-27).

WE BELIEVE that the Lord Jesus Christ died for man's sins, according to the Scriptures, and that all who believe in Him have the forgiveness of sins through His blood (1 Cor. 15:3; Eph. 1:7; John 3:16)

WE BELIEVE that Christ arose bodily from the dead and ascended into heaven where He is now the believer's High Priest and Advocate (1 Cor. 15:4; Heb. 7:25; 1 John 2:1)

WE BELIEVE that the imminent return of Christ for all true believers will be personal and visible. He will also judge the living and the dead (Acts 1:11; John 5:28-29; 1 Thess. 4:13-18; Rev. 19:11).

WE BELIEVE that an individual forever becomes a child of God by being born of and sealed by the Holy Spirit through personal faith in Jesus Christ(John 1:12-13; Rom. 8:14-17; Eph. 1:13,14; 2:8-9).

WE BELIEVE that the Church, instituted by Christ, consists of all true believers, and that the Great Commission to make disciples of all nations is the supreme mission of the Church (1 Cor. 12:12-13; Matt. 28:18-20).

WE BELIEVE that the ordinances of the Church are water baptism by immersion upon personal confession of faith and the Lord's Supper in remembrance of Christ (John 3:23; Rom. 6:4; 1 Cor. 11:23-26).

WE BELIEVE that all mankind will be bodily resurrected, the saved to eternal life, and the unsaved to judgment and everlasting punishment (Matt. 25:46; John 5:28-29; 11:25; Rev. 20:5-6, 12-13).

WE BELIEVE that the Christian life means being separated unto God, conforming to the teaching of His Word, and dedicating ourselves to be faithful servants to Him by the wise use of our time, spiritual gifts and abilities, and material resources (Rom. 12:1-2; 1 Peter 1:15; Eph. 4:12, 5:15; Matt. 25:14-30).
